Foreword

The Word That Creates

There is a word the world has forgotten, but God has never stopped speaking over you. That word is your identity in Him: not the one society handed you or your wounds imposed on you, but the one the Creator wrote into you before you ever drew breath.

This book was born from a conviction: the words you speak over yourself carry weight. They shape how you see, steer what you choose, and, for the believer, they come into agreement with what God has already said. That is why every prayer in this book rests on two words: I am.

“I am” is not just a turn of phrase. In Scripture, it is the very name God revealed to Moses: “I AM THAT I AM” (Exodus 3:14). Jesus takes it up: “I am the bread of life,” “I am the light of the world.” When you say “I am loved,” “I am kept,” “I am blessed,” you are not inventing an identity. You are repeating what God says about those who are in Christ, and letting His word become yours.

Declaring is not forcing God’s hand or reciting a magic formula. It is agreeing with Him. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17): the more you hear these truths in your own mouth, the deeper they settle into your heart.

In these pages you will find 64 prayers in 11 themes of life: identity, battle, elevation, provision, healing, direction, revival, foundations, breakthroughs, calling, and renewal. Each one is a precise tool for a precise moment.

Read them out loud. Let the words take shape in your mouth before they sink into your heart. And be ready, because God’s word “shall not return unto me void” (Isaiah 55:11).

Let these prayers be arrows of light in your hand.

How to Use This Book

A Guide for Every Day

  1. The morning prayerChoose one prayer each morning and declare it out loud before your day begins. Five to ten minutes is enough to change the atmosphere of an entire day.
  2. The prayer that carries youOpen the page “Find the Prayer That Carries You”: peace, healing, an open door, a new beginning… every intention points to one or more prayers.
  3. The battle declarationFacing a specific trial, open the matching theme and declare all of its prayers with authority, several days in a row. Repetition is not superstition: it is faith taking root.
  4. The reading plansFollow one of the four plans: 7 days to be strengthened in a season of trial, 21 days for a breakthrough, 30 days to renew your identity, 64 days for the whole book.
  5. Praying togetherRead these prayers as a family, in a small group, or at a prayer meeting, one declaration each or all together. Where two or three are gathered in His name, He is there in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20).

Anatomy of a prayer

Every prayer follows the same path: the anchor verse (what God says), the introduction (what it changes for you), the 30 “I am” declarations (to speak out), the meditation (to read slowly), a prayer to God, today’s practice, then three verses to go deeper and the key line to remember.

Essential tip: read out loud

The spoken word engages your whole being: your breath, your voice, your attention. Your voice is a sacred instrument. Every time you open this book, you are not just reading. You are declaring.

Before You Declare

Five Guidelines for Praying with Wisdom

  1. Grace firstThese declarations are not efforts to earn anything. They proclaim what God has already given in Christ. You do not say “I am” to become God’s child, but because you are one.
  2. The Word as foundationEvery prayer starts from a verse. If a declaration feels too big, go back to the verse: it carries the promise, not your feelings of the moment.
  3. Faith that actsDeclaring prosperity does not replace work; declaring healing does not replace care; declaring wisdom does not replace counsel. Faith opens the doors; obedience walks through them.
  4. PatienceSome answers come at once, others ripen over time. “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength” (Isaiah 40:31). Keep declaring even when nothing seems to move yet.
  5. LoveSpiritual warfare is never aimed at people. We wrestle against darkness, not against flesh and blood. A prayer that blesses those who hurt us is often the most powerful one.

Let these prayers be arrows of light in your hand

This is a book of prayer and encouragement. It is not a substitute for medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice. If you are ill, keep following your treatment: prayer goes with it, it does not replace it.
