Prayer no. 17 · Theme C

I Live at the Summit of the Divine Mountain

The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.

Habakkuk 3:19 (KJV)

Introduction

God is not calling you to crawl through the valley, but to rise to the heights. Like the eagle, you can soar above the storms and see clearly what others cannot yet discern. The secret is not effort that wears you out, but trust that renews you: those who wait upon the Lord receive fresh strength. On God’s mountain, peace becomes your breath and light becomes your horizon.

The heart of the prayer

Prayer

Lord, I praise You, for You are my strength and You make me walk on my high places. I wait upon You, and today I receive the fresh strength You promise to those who trust in You. Lift my eyes above every circumstance. Teach me to soar like the eagle on the breath of Your Spirit, and not by my own effort alone. Give me Your vision for my life, Your peace for my decisions, and Your light for my path. And on the heights where You lead me, make me a blessing to everyone around me. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Key Line

I wait upon the Lord: my strength is renewed, and I live at the summit of the divine mountain.
