I Live Under the Open Heavens

Introduction

When heaven opens, the favor of God pours out without limit. Jacob was on the run, alone, with a stone for a pillow, and that is where he saw the ladder and the angels of God ascending and descending. Jesus promised His disciples they would see heaven open: in Him, the way to the Father is open to you. Under that heaven, doors widen, paths straighten, and the light of the Most High shines on every step. Starting today, you can walk in a steady stream of grace.

The heart of the prayer

Prayer

Father, thank You that in Jesus heaven is open to me. As You did for Jacob at Bethel, open my eyes to recognize Your presence where I did not expect it. Break every heaven of brass over my life, my family, and my work. Send Your rain in its season and bless the work of my hands. May Your angels keep me in all my ways, and may Your Spirit lead me. Make my home a gate of heaven for those around me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
