Prayer no. 54 · Theme I

I Am at the Door of My Miracle

A prayer to see God act without delay · to await a miracle in faith

I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron

Isaiah 45:2 (KJV)

Introduction

Sometimes everything seems ready, and yet the miracle is slow to come. You work, you pray, you hope, and just as you are about to reach the goal, something gives way. This is not the end: it is a call to persevere and, through prayer, to lift the invisible locks. God never leads you to the threshold only to abandon you there. The One who goes before you breaks the gates of brass and cuts the bars of iron: He wants to bring you fully into your promise.

The heart of the prayer

Prayer

King of glory, I praise You and open the doors of my life to You. I stand at the threshold of Your promise with faith and gratitude. What You have begun, You will finish. Lift the invisible locks, consume everything that stands against Your word, and give me joyful perseverance to hold on to the end. Thank You, for my miracle is in Your faithful hands. Come into my home, my work, and my future, so that Your glory may be seen there. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Key Line

The threshold is not a wall: it is the last step before the breakthrough.
