Introduction
Every calling that comes from God meets resistance, both seen and unseen. But the fire of that calling does not go out when it is fed by faith, perseverance, and prayer. Just as a goldsmith refines gold in the furnace, the Lord uses even hardship to purify you and make you useful. Do not let discouragement rule you; stir up your spirit instead. The Lord has chosen you, and His hand never withdraws from those He sends.

The heart of the prayer
Prayer
Father, I praise You, for You are the Potter and I am the work of Your hands. Thank You for shaping my life with patience and love. Your Spirit lifts up a standard before me, and the fire of my calling burns bright. Refine me by Your grace: let humility, perseverance, and gentleness grow in me, and let what You have placed in my heart shine. I receive my place as a vessel of honor, useful for Your service and ready for every good work. Let my life speak of You louder than my words. In Jesus’ name, amen.
