Prayer no. 35 · Theme D

I Am a Tree Planted to Prosper in the Glory of God

[…] that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

Isaiah 61:3 (KJV)

Introduction

God is not the author of failure. You were shaped to reflect the Creator’s glory through a fruitful life. When barrenness settles in, you may need to recognize that a foreign root has taken hold in your soil: discouragement, unfruitful habits, a heavy inheritance. Today the divine Gardener lays the axe to those roots in order to plant in you the tree of a success that is spiritual, inward, and practical, nourished by His Word and by your faithful work.

The heart of the prayer

Prayer

Lord, divine Gardener, I praise You for the care You give to my life. Whatever You did not plant has no place in me: Your Word makes faith, joy, and diligence grow. Thank You for planting my life by the river of Your waters; it bears fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. Give me wisdom to manage my gifts, strength to work with steady faithfulness, and generosity to share my harvest. Let every fruit of my life reveal Your glory. In Jesus’ name, amen.
