I Am the Heir of Divine Wealth

A prayer for provision and financial wisdom

Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Introduction

True wealth is not a pursuit but a mission. In Christ you are a child of God, and therefore an heir: an heir of His promises, His wisdom, and His faithfulness. God makes you a channel of prosperity so that His light can flow through your work and His justice can be seen in your stewardship, your vision, and your generosity. A faithful heir does not squander what he receives; he makes it fruitful and then passes it on.

The heart of the prayer

Prayer

Father, thank You for adopting me and making me a joint heir with Christ. Everything You have given me, my life, my talents, my resources, I place back in Your hands. Teach me to manage as a faithful heir and not as an anxious owner. Give me diligence in my work, wisdom in my choices, and generosity in my giving. Keep me from all dishonesty and every unhealthy dependence. May my household become a source of blessing for generations to come. In Jesus’ name, amen.
