Prayer no. 27 · Theme D

I Can Do All Things Through Him Who Strengthens Me

A prayer to be filled with courage

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Philippians 4:13 (KJV)

Introduction

Paul wrote these words from a prison cell, after learning to be content both in plenty and in want. His strength did not come from his circumstances or from himself, but from Christ, who strengthened him day after day. The same is true for you: what faith makes possible, no hardship can prevent. God makes grace spring up in the hardest places and gives you the strength to face every season, whether it is full or lean.

The heart of the prayer

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I praise You, for You are my strength and Your grace is sufficient for me. I can do all things through You who strengthen me. I entrust every challenge to You, and I thank You for every door You open. Teach me, like Paul, to be content in every situation. Let Your power be fully at work in me. Give me perseverance to keep going, peace to wait, and faith to see Your hand in every season. Thank You, for with You nothing is impossible for me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
