Prayer no. 12 · Theme B

I Am a Conqueror over Death

A prayer for the hope of eternal life

I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

Psalms 118:17 (KJV)

Introduction

The life of God flows in you like a spring that never runs dry. You were not born to fear the end, but to display the victory of the risen Christ. Through His cross and resurrection, death has lost its sting: it no longer has the last word over those who belong to Him. Every day, His light pushes back the shadows and awakens in you the joy of being alive. Declare with the psalmist that you will live to tell the works of the Lord.

The heart of the prayer

Prayer

Father, thank You for Jesus, the resurrection and the life. Through His cross, He conquered death and gave me His life. I reject every fear that tries to imprison me, and I place myself under the protection of His blood. May Your Spirit, who raised Him from the dead, strengthen my body, my soul, and my spirit. Guard my days, renew my strength, and let me finish my race with joy. May my whole life declare Your works and bring hope to those around me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
