Prayer no. 14 · Theme B

I Am Chosen to Be Elevated

A prayer for promotion and recognition

For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

Psalms 75:6-7 (KJV)

Introduction

Divine promotion does not come from luck, from connections, or from hidden alliances. It grows out of steady faithfulness to God, a pure heart, and clean hands. When God chooses to lift someone up, no system can stand in the way; but He lifts up in order to serve, not to flatter. This prayer invites you to be ready: humble in small things, diligent in your work, and confident in God’s timing.

The heart of the prayer

Prayer

Lord, You alone put down one and lift up another. I give up seeking promotion through scheming, flattery, or shortcuts. I place myself under Your mighty hand and entrust my future to You. Make me faithful in small things, diligent in my work, and honest in my relationships. When You lift me up, keep my heart humble and make my position a place of service. May those who see me recognize Your goodness, not my own glory. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Key Line

I am chosen to be elevated: my promotion comes from God, and I wait for it in faithfulness.
